A publishing house for consumer mobile apps. We hold the App Store and Play Store relationships, the payment rails, and the operational work for a small portfolio of products. Each one is built by its own team, and each team keeps full equity in its work.
About.
Most consumer app founders are great at building products and indifferent at running publishing companies. Apple and Google relationships, tax, banking, compliance, code signing, push, store review, regional pricing. None of it makes an app better. It just has to happen, reliably, every week, forever.
Collecta exists to do that work once and apply it across every app we publish. We are deliberately small. We pick what we publish on taste, conviction, and category fit, not throughput. Each app is its own company, with its own founders and cap table. Collecta is the publisher, and the connective tissue between them.

How we think.
Distribution and operations are the work, not the product
The splitFounders who try to do both end up doing both badly. We carve the operational layer off cleanly, so each team can stay on the work that makes their app worth using.
Curation beats scale, at our stage
What we pickConsumer software rewards small portfolios of well loved products over large ones full of forgettable apps. We build for that on purpose.
Equity should sit where the work is
The dealMost publishing deals are extractive. We take a small share of revenue, and each founding team keeps its cap table. It is the deal we would have wanted ourselves.
Built to last, not to flip
The horizonCollecta is a long term operating company, not a flip vehicle. Every app is something we want to still be running in ten years.
In the portfolio.
The model.
Each app is its own company, with its own founders, board, and cap table. Collecta is the publisher and the seller of record.
Store payouts land with us. We keep a small publisher fee that funds the shared operating layer, and forward the rest to the per app company. The founders keep the product, the brand, the customers, and the upside. The fee gets more efficient with every app we add, because the infrastructure is largely fixed.
